👩🏻‍🦰 Skin barrier 👱🏻‍♀️

The skin barrier, which is the outermost layer of the skin, is responsible for protecting the skin and keeping moisture from escaping. One of the key elements of these skin barriers is the lamellar structure. Similar to the stone and cement structure, the lamellar structure is filled with **ceramide, cholesterol, and fatty acids (cement)** between keratinocytes (bricks), forming a sturdy barrier.

✨ BIO-Veil ✨

The key ingredient in BIO-Veil, **MEL (Glycolipid)**, is a human-like ingredient that helps maintain the stability of cell membranes and form a protective film (vale) on the skin surface. This protective film (vale) has a similar shape to the lamellar structure, making the skin barrier stronger. In addition, BIO-Veil has excellent skin penetration and strong barrier-enhancing effects, and the intercellular lipid staining experiments using Nile Red show the effects of BIO-Veil on the formation of skin barriers.

📍 In vitro & Clinical test

The lipids of keratinocytes increased when BIO-Veil was treated, and the effect of BIO-Veil on strengthening the skin barrier was confirmed. In addition, through the evaluation of skin absorption (Raman analysis method) of BIO-Veil, it was absorbed into the skin and permeated into the stratum corneum and granules, the formation of the skin lipid membrane, and the strengthening of the skin barrier were confirmed.
